2nd Sunday after Easter, 3rd of Easter C

Witnesses to the resurrection

Sentence
To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb, be blessing and honour and glory and might for ever and ever. Revelation 5:13

Collects
Almighty God, you have given your only Son to be for us both a sacrifice for sin and also an example of godly life; give us grace that we may always thankfully receive the immeasurable benefit of his sacrifice, and also daily endeavour to follow in the blessed steps of his most holy life; who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for evermore. Amen. BCP. Easter 2

Let us pray [that Christ will give us a share in his glory.]
God our Father, may we look forward with hope to our resurrection, for you have made us your sons and daughters, and restored the joy of our youth. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

Almighty God, through you only Son you overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: grant that we who celebrate our Lord's resurrection, my, through the renewing power of your Spirit, rise from the death of sin to the life of righteousness; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. APBA

Christ our friend, you ask our love in spite of our betrayal: give us courage to embrace forgiveness, to know you again, and to trust ourselves to you. Amen APBA
