The Transfiguration

      It is the God who said, "let light shine out of darkness," who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6
 
Collects
      Almighty God, you have given your only Son to be for us both a sacrifice for sin and also an example of godly life; give us grace that we may always thankfully receive the immeasurable benefits of his sacrifice, and also daily endeavour to follow in the blessed steps of his most holy life, who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for evermore. Amen. BCP. Easter 2
 
      Eternal God, our glorious King, whose Son Jesus Christ was seen in splendor by his chosen witnesses: give us, your servants, faith to see in him the true light and to walk in his way, that we my be transformed into his likeness and live with him in glory; where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.       God our Father, in the transfigured glory of Christ your Son, you strengthen our faith by confirming the witness of your prophets, and show us the splendor you have prepared for your beloved sons and daughters. As we listen to the voice of your Son, help us to become heirs to eternal life with him, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.       Almighty God, whose Son was revealed in majesty before he suffered death upon the cross: give us faith to perceive his glory, that being strengthened by his grace we may be changed into his likeness, from glory to glory, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
