5th Sunday in Lent

The resurrection and the life

Sentence
'I am the resurrection and the life', says the Lord; 'whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.' John 11:25-26

Collects
We beseech you, almighty God, to look in mercy on your people; that by your great goodness they may be governed and preserved evermore; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Lent 5

Let us pray [for the zeal to follow Christ]
Father, help us to be like Christ your Son, who loved the world and died for our salvation. Inspire us by his love, guided us by his example, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

Life-giving God, your Son came into the world to free us all from sin and death: breathe upon us with the power of your Spirit, that we may be raised to new life in Christ, and serve you in holiness and righteousness all our days; through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. APBA
