5th Sunday in Lent

Resurrection and Life

Sentence
"This is the covenant I will make with them," says the Lord God: "I will put my law within them and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God and they shall be my people", Jeremiah 31:33

Collects
We beseech you, almighty God, to look in mercy on your people; that by your great goodness they may be governed and preserved evermore; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Lent 5

Let us pray [for the zeal to follow Christ]
Father, help us to be like Christ your Son, who loved the world and died for our salvation. Inspire us by his love, guide us by his example, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

O God, our Redeemer, in our weakness we have failed to be your messengers of forgiveness and hope: renew us by your Holy Spirit, that we may follow your commands and proclaim your reign of love; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. APBA

Hymn or Chorus first line
Lift up your hearts unto the Lord
I am the bread of life
Only in God is my soul at rest
Jesus, thou joy of loving hearts

Your words to me are life and health
A new heart Lord, create in me
I want to walk as a child of the light
