Words and Songs for the Church Year

Sunday: Ordinary 33C, Proper 28C

Living between the Cross and Christ's return

Sentence
May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. 2 Thessalonians 3:16

Collects
Father in heaven, keep your household the church steadfast in faith and love, that through your protection it may be free from all adversities, and may devoutly serve you in good works to the glory of your name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Trinity 22

Let us pray [that God will help us to be faithful.]
Father of all that is good, keep us faithful in serving you, for to serve you is our lasting joy. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

Lord God of all the ages, the One who is, who was, and who is to come: stir up within us a longing for your kingdom, keep our hearts steady in times of trial, and grant us patient endurance until the sun of justice dawns. We make our prayer through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. APBA
