Words and Songs for the Church Year

Sunday: Ordinary 34A, Proper 29A

Christ the King / The reign of Christ

Sentence
O shout to the Lord in triumph all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness and come before his face with songs of joy. Psalm 100:1

Collects
Stir up, Lord, the wills of your faithful people, that they may produce abundantly the fruit of good work, and receive your abundant reward; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Trinity 25, The next before Advent

Let us pray [that all people will acclaim Jesus as Lord]
Almighty and merciful God, you break the power of evil and make all things new in your Son Jesus Christ, the King of the universe. May all in heaven and earth acclaim your glory and never cease to praise you. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

God of power and love, who raised your Son Jesus Christ from death to life, resplendent in glory to rule over all creation: free the world to rejoice in his peace, to glory in his justice, and to live in his love.
