Last Sunday after Epiphany C

The Transfiguration

Sentence
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth. John 1:14.

Collects
We beseech you, almighty God, look on the heartfelt desires of your servants, and stretch forth the right hand of your power to be our defence against all our enemies; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Lent 3

Almighty God, you have given your only Son to be for us both a sacrifice for sin and also an example of godly life; give us grace that we may always thankfully receive the immeasurable benefits of his sacrifice, and also daily endeavour to follow in the blessed steps of his most holy life, who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for evermore. Amen. BCP. Easter 2

Let us pray [that we may respond to the Word of God.]
God our Father, help us to hear your Son. Enlighten us with your word, that we may find the way to your glory. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB. Lent 2.

Eternal God, our glorious King, whose Son Jesus Christ was seen in splendor by his chosen witnesses: give us, your servants, faith to see in him the true light and to walk in his way, that we my be transformed into his likeness and live with him in glory; where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB The Transfiguration

God our Father, in the transfigured glory of Christ your Son, you strengthen our faith by confirming the witness of your prophets, and show us the splendor you have prepared for your beloved sons and daughters. As we listen to the voice of your Son, help us to become heirs to eternal life with him, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB The Transfiguration

O God, glorious and faithful, you reveal the beauty of your face to those who seek you with a sincere heart: strengthen us in faith to embrace the mystery of the cross, and open our hearts to its transforming power, so that, clinging in love to your will for us, we may walk as followers of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. APBA
